This a blog from the Posy Club about beautiful, seasonal flowers grown in Britain.
Here’s a lovely bunch of birthday flowers from our cottage garden in Somerset, Frome, which were sent as a birthday gift to a wonderful mum.
The bouquet includes cottage pinks (dianthus) which are easy to grow and have a wonderfully sweet and spicy aroma. There’s also roses from the garden, and phlox, a sweet smelling cottage-garden favourite.
So far, I’ve made almost 100 bouquets of seasonal flowers, and now I want to start a blog that shares more information about seasonal flowers grown in the UK. I don’t think we need to import most of our flowers, and would like to demonstrate that locally grown bouquets can brighten your home throughout the year.
